Welcome!

By using the DRM services provided by Paradimage Soluciones SL (hereinafter “Paradimage”) under the brand PlazaDRM (hereinafter, “Plaza”) or the app “Plaza Reader” (hereinafter, the “Reader”), you are agreeing to these Terms of Use (hereinafter, the “Terms”) contained in this document. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the online services of the websites under the domain plazadrm.com, and do not install the Reader or the WordPress plugins. If you have any questions about the content of these Terms, please write to us via the Contact form.

About Us

Paradimage is an online publisher that publishes classic and contemporary works and sells them through its website https://paradimage.es. The publisher also maintains pages and accounts on major online bookstores and social media platforms. Books may be free or available for purchase. For some of our titles, print versions are sold directly or through third parties.

In addition to its publishing activities, Paradimage is committed to offering complementary services within the audiovisual sector, one of which is the PlazaDRM content distribution service, provided through this website.

What Is PlazaDRM

PlazaDRM is the generic name for a suite of services provided by Paradimage, the purpose of which is the distribution of copy-protected audiovisual material. The ecosystem consists of several elements:

  • The Reader: The Reader is a mobile app that allows customers to read e-books and play videos purchased from various online stores (the “partner stores”). The audiovisual content in the Reader is encrypted to prevent illegal copying. The Reader is free.
  • The Partner Stores: These are online stores built on the WooCommerce platform that sell audiovisual content and choose to distribute their content through the Reader, which provides copy protection. For a store to distribute its content through the Reader, it must subscribe to the service and configure certain plugins within the store itself. The cost of the service is a commission based on the number of customers, starting from a minimum threshold that is exempt from the fee.

Intellectual Property

Partner stores and creators who choose to sell through the Reader using their own brand grant Paradimage limited-term, non-exclusive distribution rights in order to enable the provision of the service.

Downloading audiovisual material through PlazaDRM does not grant you the right to publish it, where “publication” is understood to mean any means of making the downloaded work available to the public, even on a restricted basis. In the event that the download consists of encrypted material (as is the case with e-books and videos downloaded by the Reader), it is expressly prohibited to decrypt it.

PlazaDRM also has its own material, which you may not use without our consent. This material includes, but is not limited to: our logo and brand, the Reader, the WordPress plugin, the content of the websites under the PlazaDRM domain, etc. Registering and using our services does not grant you any ownership rights to the aforementioned material.

Privacy Policy

If you manage a WooCommerce-based online store, you can use PlazaDRM’s services to distribute your content. To do so, you must register at https://plazadrm.com, providing your name, email address, and password. Once registered as a user, you must register your store and configure it. During this process, you will be asked for information about the store, and access keys will be generated, which you must keep secure.

Throughout your business relationship with Paradimage, you agree to provide accurate information. In particular, it is prohibited to register using someone else’s email address, impersonate another person, or use material (trademarks, logos, etc.) for which you do not hold the rights of use. You must also refrain from distributing any type of illegal or immoral content that is not properly labeled as such.

In order for registered stores to distribute to their customers, via the Lector app, the audiovisual material they have purchased, they must pay a fee for each customer who uses the Lector app. This fee is paid by purchasing license packages on our website. Once the licenses are exhausted, new customers of the store will not be able to access their purchases until additional licenses are purchased.

You can cancel the service at any time by deleting your account on our website and uninstalling the store’s WordPress plugins. Once the service is canceled, customers who were using the Reader will no longer have access to the store, but they will retain any content they had previously downloaded.

While the distribution service is active, Paradimage does not have access to the content you sell, which is distributed directly from your store to the end customer’s device. The only content we access is the catalog you choose to include in the Reader.

Personal Data Protection Policy

During registration, you will be asked for your name and an email address. If you wish to receive an invoice for your purchases, you must provide us with the necessary billing information to complete it. In certain cases, when required by the service, you must also provide a shipping address. This information, which is strictly necessary to carry out the business relationship, is stored in our database. This information will not be shared without your consent. During the purchase process, the data strictly necessary to complete the transaction is transferred to the payment gateway (managed by a third party).

If you upload images to our website, please avoid including personal information such as names or locations in the metadata, as our website does not filter metadata in any way. If you use an avatar as your profile picture, we will share some of your data with the avatar provider Gravatar, whose privacy policy can be found at https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Our website uses cookies for certain services, such as remembering your name, email address, and website when you leave comments, storing your browsing preferences, etc. These cookies are provided for your convenience, and you may opt out of them if you wish via the message that appears when you open our website.

To ensure our compliance with regulations governing personal data (Organic Law 15/99 of December 13 on the Protection of Personal Data, Royal Decree 994/1999 of June 11, which approves the Regulations on Security Measures for Automated Files Containing Personal Data, as well as all applicable regulations in this area), any interested party who believes that we are using their personal data without their consent is asked to contact us to bring this matter to our attention, and we will proceed to rectify the action that is the subject of the complaint.

We assume no responsibility for the content of the material distributed through Plaza Paradimage’s services, to which we generally do not have access, beyond what is required by the laws of the Kingdom of Spain.
